The Loveland Police Department is asking for help in identifying a truck and its occupants that may have been involved or witnessed the death that occurred on 9/2/2017 in the 6200 block of Stallion Dr. . Attached are pictures of a white four-door pickup truck with a black bed cover that was seen in the area of Crossroads Blvd. and Stallion Dr. on Saturday September 2, 2017 around 1:00 am. On Saturday September 2, 2017 at around 1:00 AM Loveland Police was dispatched to the 6100 block of Stallion Dr. in Loveland for an unresponsive male. This location is an off-site parking and shuttle stop area for the Thunder in the Rockies motorcycle rally. A Loveland Police Officer responded within two minutes’ of the initial call. The male was pronounced dead at the scene. There were obvious injuries to the victim that are consistent with being run over by a vehicle or blunt trauma. Detectives from the Loveland Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit responded to the scene.
The victim was identified as a 52-year-old male with a last known address in Loveland. Detectives are still attempting to notify the next of kin. The area at the time of the incident was lit with commercial lighting and staffed with security personnel. It is believed there may be more witnesses who have yet to come forward to police. It has not been determined if this incident was intentional or accidental.
