Vandals stomped-in multiple windshields in a southwest Fort Collins neighborhood last weekend, and police investigators are seeking tips on the cases from the public. “There was, like, a rampage,” said Hannah Benoit, whose Chevrolet Cobalt’s windshield was shattered outside her home on Bronson Street sometime early Saturday morning. She lives with Kristina Bulik-Hocum, whose weekend plans were shattered when she went outside to see that her car, too, had a broken windshield. The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office has seen an increase in reports of citizens receiving telephone calls from someone claiming to be a law enforcement official and demanding money. Citizens are told they have outstanding arrest warrants with specified bond amounts and must send all or part of the money to various websites to avoid immediate arrest. The individual(s) making these unsolicited telephone calls are providing legitimate names and information of law enforcement employees making them seem credible. No law enforcement agency will contact a citizen via telephone and demand immediate payment to avoid arrest. Stabbing at Ft Collins Hilton Hotel

A 25-year-old Fort Collins man was hospitalized early Wednesday after he was stabbed in the back at the Hilton hotel in Fort Collins. Fort Collins police were called at 12:02 a.m. Wednesday to the Hilton, 425 W. Prospect Road. Nicholas Fisher, 25, was the victim of a non-life-threatening knife stab wound stemming from an altercation on the fifth floor, authorities said. Mary Pope, 19, and Brian Williams, 31, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of first-degree assault with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury. Fort Collins Police Services is investigating two additional incidents which may be related to the series of physical assaults perpetrated against women in Fort Collins and unincorporated Larimer County in the past several months. On October 24, 2014 at approximately 10:30pm, Fort Collins Police responded to the 3000 block of West Elizabeth Street in Fort Collins to the report of a female victim who had been jogging in the area and was physically assaulted by a single male suspect. Police Investigate Home Invasion Aggravated Robbery Fort Collins police responded to a home invasion robbery in the 800 block of West Laurel, Fort Collins on Monday, April 7, at 8:52 p.m. Three male suspects entered the residence and brandished baseball bats during the robbery. Two people sustained injuries during the robbery and were transported for treatment of minor injuries and released.  The injured individuals included one of the residents from the home and one of the suspects. Armed Robbery / Loveland Police On March 27 , 2014 at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Loveland Emergency Communications Center received a call reporting a robbery at the Casual Male Big and Tall store at 5732 McWhinney Boulevard. When officers arrived, the victim told them that two men had been in the store shopping along with other shoppers. After the other shoppers left, one of the men showed a firearm before leaving the store with a large amount of merchandise. The men left on foot westbound through the parking lot. Burglary / FCPD Police Request Assistance with Burglary Investigation Fort Collins police are investigating a commercial burglary that occurred on January 19 to Beaver’s Market, 1100 W. Mountain Ave.  The burglary was captured on store’s security camera and showed the suspect entered the business at approximately 5:38 a.m. A store employee discovered the burglary at approximately 8:00 a.m. when arriving to open the store for the day. Officers responded and found evidence of forced entry to the store and discovered a safe was missing which contained an undisclosed amount of cash. Armed Robbery /Loveland Police On March 20, 2014 at approximately 10:19 hours, the Loveland Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call regarding a robbery that occurred at The Tanning Salon, 2232 W 1st St. When officers arrived, they learned from the employees of The Tanning Salon that two subjects walked into the store and they were armed with a weapon.  The subjects took an undisclosed amount of cash and left in a vehicle.  We are not releasing any information on the vehicle at this time. The schools in the area were notified about the robbery.  The schools took appropriate safety measures.
