Estes Park Bear Cub Poaching Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers are investigating a poaching crime in Estes Park involving a bear cub shot on private property on or immediately prior to August 12, 2012 The small bear cub was seen in the vicinity of the 1700 block of Fish Creek Road traveling with a its mother on the previous day. On the 12th of August citizens reported that the cub was struggling. On arrival the responding District Wildlife Manager found the unresponsive cub in the creek while the sow bear stayed nearby to protect the cub. FCPD Inv. Attempt Sexual Assault

Fort Collins police continue to investigate an attempted sexual assault reported Thursday night.Police say they’re looking for a “dark-skinned black male” with a thin build, in his early 30s, last seen wearing a bright blue polo shirt. Police say a 21-year-old female was walking alone on Centre Avenue near Research Boulevard at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday when the man attacked her from behind and attempted to sexually assault her. A struggle ensued and the female was able to escape and run for help, sustaining minor injuries during the struggle. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Det.
