Car Burglaries in Berthoud | LCSO

Between 10:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, and 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, eight vehicle trespasses occurred in the Mary’s Farm area of the Town of Berthoud. The specific area targeted was between 1st and 4th Streets (east to west) and E. Michigan and Iowa Avenues (north to south). All of the vehicles entered were left unsecured and were easily accessed by the suspect(s). Electronics, cash, credit cards, and other miscellaneous items were reported stolen. Since July 12, 2015, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office has responded to 16 incidents of vehicle trespass along the East Mulberry Corridor (map attached). These crimes occurred during the overnight hours as follows:  July 12 – 13: four vehicles entered  July 19 – 20: one vehicle entered  July 20 – 21: one vehicle entered  July 29 – 30: 10 vehicles entered All the vehicles were easily entered because their doors were unlocked. Stolen items included purses, money, credit cards, jumper cables, and small electronic devices. 43 car break-ins in Berthoud /Sheriff’s Dept Investigates

Between the late evening hours of July 8 and early morning hours of July 9, 2015, 43 incidents of vehicle trespass occurred in the Town of Berthoud. Many of those offenses were reported by residents and others were discovered by Larimer County Sheriff’s deputies during their investigations in the area. All of the vehicles unlawfully entered were left unsecured and were easily accessed by the suspect(s). Most of the vehicles were not missing any property, but had been rifled through. The items that were stolen mainly consisted of small electronic devices and accessories.
