A month after Fort Collins Police Services appealed to the public for leads about a rash of vehicle damage incidents, police have seen 40 more similar reports.

The more recent incidents, which occurred between April 28 and May 23, were similar to the 61 reports received between April 12 and April 21. All the reports involved damage to vehicles that police believe was caused by small-caliber BB or pellet guns, rocks, or other materials. The vehicles were damaged during the overnight or early morning hours, and the incidents occurred across the city.

CRIME:  Fort Collins man fired shotgun in road-rage incident, police say

Police are investigating the incidents as potentially related, spokeswoman Kate Kimble said. Once again, investigators are asking for the public’s help finding the culprit or culprits.

“We have no suspects at this time and really need the public’s help to identify anyone involved in these crimes,” Kimble wrote in an email.

Anyone with information about these incidents or potential suspects is encouraged to contact Sgt. Paul Wood at 970-224-6132 or Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868. Callers can remain anonymous and might be eligible for a cash reward. Crime Stoppers can also be reached online at www.stopcriminals.org.
