Between 10:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, and 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, eight vehicle trespasses occurred in the Mary’s Farm area of the Town of Berthoud. The specific area targeted was between 1st and 4th Streets (east to west) and E. Michigan and Iowa Avenues (north to south). All of the vehicles entered were left unsecured and were easily accessed by the suspect(s). Electronics, cash, credit cards, and other miscellaneous items were reported stolen. On September 6, 2016 at approximately 4:00 a.m., the Loveland Police Department received a call from a resident in the 400 block of 23rd Street SW. The caller said that he woke up and saw a man leaving his house. Loveland police officers were dispatched to the home. While the officers were responding to the home, the Department received another call from a different home a few houses away. The second caller said he heard someone walking through his house. On 09/13/2016 at approximately 20:40 hours, a call came in to Loveland Police Dept's dispatch center. Report of the playground equipment on fire. Fire department arrived and put out the flames. There was heavy damage to the rope bridge area of the playground equipment. I would like to see if Crime Stoppers can post this as I do not have any suspects at this time. At approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, 08/27/16, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area of 400 South Overland Trail on report of a shooting. Two brothers had gotten into an argument, and one had shot the other and then left the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital, and deputies are actively searching for the suspect in the area bordered by Overland Trail, Taft Hill Road, Mulberry Street, and Laporte Avenue. At 9:41 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a robbery at the Holiday Twin Drive-In located at 2206 South Overland Trail in Fort Collins. Two men approached the ticket booth, pointed a handgun at the Drive-In employee and left with an undetermined amount of money. The Drive-In employee described the two suspects as follows: Suspect 1 is a Caucasian male in his 20s to early 30s. He was approximately 6 tall with a medium build. On August 3, 2016, at approximately 8:00 pm, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office received reports that a robbery had just occurred in the parking lot of Choice Organics located at 813 Smithfield Drive in Fort Collins. An employee of the store called 911and reported that one adult male and one adult female were approached outside the business by two men. One suspect indicated to the victims he was armed and then took the marijuana they had just purchased. The two suspects fled eastbound on foot where they entered a vehicle and drove away. On August 3, 2016, at approximately 12:00 pm, the Estes Valley Fire Protection District and a Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a smoke report near the Lumpy Ridge Trailhead in Rocky Mountain National Park. They discovered a wildland fire burning an area approximately 50 feet by 50 feet and it was quickly extinguished. The investigation revealed the fire was burning where someone was obviously camping, but camping is prohibited in that area. Witnesses reported seeing two white males in their late teens or early twenties carrying camping equipment and supplies to that area just prior to seeing smoke. A month after Fort Collins Police Services appealed to the public for leads about a rash of vehicle damage incidents, police have seen 40 more similar reports. The more recent incidents, which occurred between April 28 and May 23, were similar to the 61 reports received between April 12 and April 21. All the reports involved damage to vehicles that police believe was caused by small-caliber BB or pellet guns, rocks, or other materials. The vehicles were damaged during the overnight or early morning hours, and the incidents occurred across the city. On May 15, 2016 at approximately 10:35 p.m., Loveland police officers responded to the Pizza Hut at 237 E. 29th St. on the report of a robbery. When the officers arrived, they were told that a man had entered the store shortly before 10:35p.m., presented a handgun, and demanded money. The man immediately left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The man was described as white or Hispanic, approximately 5’10” tall, and 150 pounds. Larimer County Sheriff’s Office responded to a hold-up alarm tonight (3/13/16) at 8:20 p.m. at 425 Meadowlark Drive in Berthoud. The alarm was triggered at Hometown Liquor, where an armed robbery was occurring. A single male wielding a handgun demanded money from the staff.
